Dr. Jason Hamilton

Reconstructive Surgery

Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the Osborne Head and Neck Institute

Dr. Hamilton has advanced expertise in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical techniques involving the nose, face, and neck, and restricts his practice to the treatment of these areas exclusively. Dr. Hamilton’s particular areas of interest include facial reconstruction after head and neck surgery and/or trauma, septal perforation repair, primary and revision nasal surgery, and rhinoplasty. He is sought after internationally for his expertise.

Jason S. Hamilton, M.D. is the Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the Osborne Head and Neck Institute based at Cedar-Sinai Medical Towers, Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Hamilton began his love of medicine at Duke University, and completed his formal training with a prestigious fellowship in facial plastics and reconstructive surgery awarded through the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery. This one-on-one training, under internationally renowned Master Plastic Surgeons, constitutes the finest training in plastic surgery in the world. Dr. Hamilton is a double board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Hamilton serves on the emergency and trauma call panels for Cedars-Sinai and California Hospital Medical Centers both located in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the craniomaxillofacial surgery and head & neck surgery teams which focus on the surgical management of patients with facial, head, and neck trauma. Dr. Hamilton’s skills where highlighted recently on a national level in the management of USC football player Stafon Johnson who suffered a life threatening injury after a 275lb weight bar crushed his neck during a training session. Dr. Hamilton’s quick actions saved the player’s life and with partner Dr. Ryan Osborne they both reconstructed his larynx allowing him to make a miraculous return to the football field in the NFL.

In addition to his extensive practice experience, Dr. Hamilton has also held numerous teaching appointments, for which he has been recognized for excellence in teaching. He serves as an Attending Surgeon and Clinical Faculty member in the Department of Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he teaches facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has lectured internationally and published over 54 peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters.

Dr. Ryan F. Osborne

Head & Neck Surgery

Ryan F. Osborne, MD FACS, is the Director of Head and Neck Surgery at the Osborne Head and Neck Institute (OHNI) and is an internationally renowned expert in head and neck oncology. Dr. Osborne has developed a special interest in the treatment of parotid gland tumors and focuses on the use of minimally invasive techniques in the care of patients needing parotid surgery. He has innovated many groundbreaking surgical procedures, including a treatment for accessory parotid gland tumors, which requires no skin incisions and leaves no facial scars.

Dr. Osborne completed a fellowship in advanced head and neck oncology under the mentorship of world-renowned expert, Thomas Calcaterra, MD, at UCLA Medical Center. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Osborne, became an Assistant Professor of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA, and was awarded the Clinical Instructor of the Year Award for outstanding training of surgical residents. While at UCLA, Dr. Osborne collaborated with Dr. Calcaterra to provide their patients with unsurpassed surgical care.

In 2003, Dr. Osborne left UCLA to become the founding Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In 2007, he resigned the position, dedicating all of his time to advancing the mission of OHNI and the Osborne Head and Neck Foundation, where he serves as President. The overall mission of the Osborne Head and Neck Foundation and OHNI is to create of a center of excellence where patients’ comprehensive needs can be delivered; to collaborate with respected surgeons to advance surgical techniques offered to patients in the United States; and to pursue unrestricted clinical and biomedical research projects to advance the diagnosis and surgical management of patients. Dr. Osborne has traveled throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe to observe and exchange ideas with other surgeons who have similar goals.

Dr. Osborne is a board-certified diplomat of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of University Otolaryngologists/Head and Neck Surgeons, and a member of the Triological Society.
